KABALANA PALM PARADISE BUNGALOWS & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT at Kabalana Beach Galle Road 2A, Ahangama, Sri Lanka
The small hotel was opened in December 2012 and is located directly at Kabalana Beach near Ahangama at the south coast of Sri Lanka, 134 km south of Colombo. The hotel has 6 rooms with stunning view of the beach, the ocean and sunset under palm trees. Attached to the hotel is a three-generation-family-run-waterfront-seafood-restaurant which serves the most delicious Sri Lankan dishes as well as continental food. ROOMS AND PRICES All of our 6 rooms have direct seaview and are equipped with mosquitonets and WiFi.
Two of our three bottom rooms are equipped with AC and offer enough space for up to 3 people each. The prize for 2 persons without breakfast will be between 25 and 35 Euro (depend of season).
The upstair-rooms have place for 2 – 4 (5) people and are equipped with fans. From the balcony there is a special nice view over the beach. The roomprice for 2 persons without breakfast is between 30 and 45 Euro. SEAFOOD RESTAURANT In the nice doublestore-Beachrestaurant you get europeen and srilankan breakfast and the whole day drinks and typical homemade srilankan food, especially fresh seafood.
Our attached doublestore-Beachrestaurant offers a good variety of western and typical Sri Lankan dishes ranging from european and singhalese breakfast (including imported coffee) to our special seafood dishes and BBQ. SURFING – BIKES – AIRPORT-SERVICE Kabalana Beach is especially known for its good surf break which is said to be one of the best on the whole south coast. We are currently renting out a BIC Funboard, a Webber Mini-Mali and a Norden Fish. Apart from that we are also renting out a motor scooter on a daily basis. The transfer from and to the airport can be organized for about 60 Euro. TOURS Kabalana Palm Paradise has one minibus for roundtrips and 2 tuktuks for small tours.
For half or full day it’s nice to visit the old town of Galle, go to the beaches of Unawatuna or Mirissa, or visit the temple and lighthouse of Dondra, the temples of Dikwella or Mukgirigala or the Uda Walawa-Elephant-Park.
On roundtrips of 3-5 days or longer you can visit the Yala-Nationalpark or Bundala Park near Tissamaharama, then cross the highland with tea plantations from Ella to Nuwara Eliya and Kandy, if enouth time to the Cultural Triangle in the north (Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa and Anuradhapura), on the way back visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala and climbing the Adams Peak near Ratnapura.
